Repair Station Mechanics

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Repair Station Mechanics disassemble helicopters and helicopter components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and fixtures for the purpose of repair or overhaul in accordance with manufacturing procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to disassemble helicopter airframe, power plant, components, and sub-assemblies using basic hand and pneumatic tools and custom tooling fixtures.
  • Familiarity and competency with light machinery, media blast cabinets, ultrasonic cleaning tanks, solvent tanks, chain hoists, engine stands, arbor presses, and heat ovens.
  • Ability to work with and around forklifts and other equipment to remove helicopters from shipping containers and crates.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances.
  • Basic mathematic skills include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
  • Must be capable of using calipers and basic measuring tools.
  • Full compliance with the Company’s DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

PAY RANGE:

  • $25.00 – $35.00/per hour
