The Robinson Instructor Pilot Standardization Course exemplifies Robinson's enduring dedication to helicopter training safety. Building on the expertise gained from its esteemed Safety Course, conducted for over 40 years, Robinson’s Instructor Pilot course continues to advance the standards of aviation training.
The course aims to elevate safety standards by implementing standardized teaching methods and techniques. It provides a thorough review of SFAR 73 awareness training and flight training requirements, along with an in-depth analysis of the major causes of accidents, including those that occur during training. The curriculum emphasizes the impact of human factors on training accidents. The flight training component standardizes instructional methods for SFAR 73 flight training requirements, covering autorotation, power failures, low RPM recognition and recovery, and RPM control without using the governor.
Emphasis on safety and incident mitigation strategies, highlighting the importance of fundamental maneuvers, advanced procedures, and system failure responses to ensure instructors can effectively train others in both basic and advanced flying techniques.
5-day program that combines classroom instruction with approximately 3 hours of flight training conducted by an experienced RHC Safety Pilot.
Classes are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, allowing for deep dives into crucial topics.
Instructors with enhanced hands-on practice to refine their skills.
In-depth instruction on Robinson helicopter design equips instructors with a thorough understanding of the aircraft they will be teaching others to fly.
The course follows a "pass or fail" structure. Participants who satisfactorily complete the curriculum will receive a graduation certificate.
